![]() I changed nothing on it and allowed them to showcase what was " epic" about it. The Epic sub, comes up in quite a few reviews here, so I felt obligated to give that one a try as well. The rolls here are very soft, which I kind of like, but I also found them flavorless. It could have used a little more oil & vinegar though and it was on the dry side. I had them add some mayo along with their oil & vinegar. The romaine was shredded and tomatoes cubed. It was very mild but added a nice crunch to the sandwich. I also liked how the red onion was sliced nice and thin so it wasn't over powering. I'm glad that I did because their pickles are quite tasty and added a lot. It comes with just lettuce, tomato, and "veggies" but they are open to other options so I had them add pickles and red onion. Very poor quality to it and it had the texture of a baloney. However, after experiencing the quality of the ham, I should have just left it alone. I had them sub out the Mortadella for ham. ![]() Salami with Turkey is a nice combination and rarely taken advantage of. I always find it a little different when a place puts Turkey in their Italian sub. I kicked the tires here with their Italian (always my first sub of choice when trying a new sub place) and their well yelped about Epic sub.įor the Gallo's Combo it comes with Cotto Salami, Mortadella, Turkey, and provolone. But there's no need to drive across town for it. However if you've journeyed around SoCal and had Cortina's or Bay Cities, then you'll wonder what all the hubbub is about. For all you $5 foot long type people, this will be a step up. Perhaps they are slightly more creative than Jersey Mike's, but at the end of the day the quality of meat, cheese, and bread they are using is about the same. Which for me is my "entry level" sub of choice. Gallo's is basically on the level of a Jersey Mike's.
